At this point, it’s not really a question if Samsung will be beaten again by Apple’s almighty iPad 2 but rather, how many more times will the company eat dust before they realize that they need a solid product in order for them to be at par with Apple.
You see, last year was very different because Samsung has no real competitor when it comes to Android tablets, that’s why it was called as the next best alternative to iPad. But for this year, the tides have already changed. We have the Xoom tablet, G-Slate and other formidable competitors like the Blackberry Playbook or HP Touchpad looming in the background. Here’s to say that if Sammy won’t do anything to change something on their Galaxy Tabs, it might be lost in space for good in the tablet industry.
Anyway, the company is still not giving up – which is a good thing! In fact, they are really serious of revealing an 8.9-inch Galaxy Tab aside from its 10.1-incher previewed last MWC.
As of the moment, its specifications are still being concealed but everyone are predicting that the Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 should have a high-end specifications just like its brother, in order for it to at least compete with the impending strike of the iPad 2. Anyway, if its price would be in the 400 USD zone then I believe this tablet would come out as something interesting.
