Samsung Galaxy Tab Price Updates: New Release Date For UK Confirmed!

Posted on 06 September 2010 by author

Last week, when Samsung unveiled their so-called ‘iPad killer’ to the users. Mixed reactions trickled to the web. A part of it agrees that it has very-capable functionalities that is at par or even greater than what the iPad can give. One of it is, having a front-facing camera which can act as an internal webcam as well — But all seems to be very disappointed with its 1k USD price.

Anyway, a new hope surfaces around the web, that the case may not to appear like that, depending on the carrier that you will be picking. WSJ revealed a recent statement from a Korean-based Samsung officer telling that its price would retail for 300 – 400 USD only and the final price would depend on its subsidies.

It also appears that UK will be the first one to be blessed by these tablets next month under the carrier Vodafone, while Americans would need to wait a couple of more months to get this one, because of Samsung’s underlying problems of what carrier it should pick for USA.

Be that as it may be, we’re still hoping on the brighter side, that this tablet won’t cost us a grand.

So what do you think, is getting a Samsung Tablet worth 10 Benjamins? Show us in your comments below

I’ve been watching the Tab’s progress for a while now and I’ve been really looking forward to the possibility of getting one, especailly as I thought this would be much cheaper than the iPad. So i’m pretty gutted to see the prices that have been flying round over the last few weeks. If the Tab is really going to cost this much then why would people get one instead of an iPad? I really hope that when Samsung confirm the final pricing it’s a lot cheaper than the £600 that certain sites are offering pre-order at here in the UK

Even though I’m a fan of Samsung’s products, I’m sorry, no tablet in my opinion is worth $1k USD. I’ve been waiting for some competition to the iPad and was very pleased to see this device coming out, but I also expected it to be no more than the iPad, hoping for less actually. Android OS is, after all, an open source OS. I WILL buy one of these, though, if it is under $500.

If that tab is gonna cost more than 400 usd then Samsung and their carrier can drink a bleach martini and please tell me why do I need to have a contract for this??? No one needs another contract from these rip off stinking cell phone carriers!!!
