T-Mobile just joined the Samsung bandwagon. Setting their own launch date for their own Samsung Galaxy Tab, T-Mobile is showing that they are part of the in-crowd. But what’s this? Looks like Amazon is not satisfied with their own home-grown and is also jumping on the Samsung Gravy Train.

Amazon will be showing theirs on November 9, 2010 while T-Mobile will be releasing the Samsung Galaxy Tab a day later, on November 10, 2010 (11-10-10! Hey! Another binary code date!).
Amazon will be selling the Samsung Amazon Tab a penny less of $700. T-Mobile will be peddling theirs for $399.99 under a two year contract. The catch for the T-Mobile price is the $35 activation fee and a $200 early termination charge.
Now Amazon is supposed to be an online store that has great prices for great products. The Galaxy Tab is really a great product but that price? Come on!? Really? A bank breaking $700 when other Galaxy Tabs are selling at $600. Now subsidized data plans are great and all, but the fact that an extra benjamin is going to cost buyers for the same device with a different data plan is really twisting the market to their own ends.
At that price, a really good full sized laptop is a better alternative than a bigger smartphone-wannabe.
