Just recently Samsung Telecommunications America, the leading mobile phone provider in the US has officially announced that its upcoming Android-based tablet called Samsung Galaxy Tab will be available through the four largest network carriers in the US. As announced, AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile and Verizon Wireless will be joining forces in bringing this much-awaited Samsung Galaxy Tab to its potential consumers.

The Galaxy Tab is the first mobile tablet from Samsung and seen to become one of the tough competitors of the very popular Apple iPad. It seems that Samsung is really serious in bringing the Samsung Tab to the top as it target more consumers and in doing so, the Galaxy Tab will be hitting the market through four of the largest network carriers in the US.

This new tablet from Samsung sports a brilliant 7-inch enhanced TFT display screen and powered by the 1GHz Hummingbird Application processor that supports 3D graphics as well as smooth Web browsing. It will run the Android 2.2 operating system and also includes full support for the Adobe Flash Player 10.1 as well. It is also equipped with two cameras, a front-facing 1.3 MP camera enabling video chatting and a rear-facing 3 MP camera for taking pictures.

Basically, the Samsung Galaxy Tab bears many of the powerful and amazing characteristics that its Galaxy S phone series have. Similar to the Galaxy S, the Galaxy Tab also comes with the Samsung Social Hub application that keeps users to be always connected while on the go and the new Media Hub content service which offers a rich collection of premium movies as well as TV shows from some of the biggest names in the entertainment industry.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab is especially designed for people who are looking for an ultimate entertainment experience wherever they are and whenever they wanted to. The Galaxy Tab is also a very portable device that nicely fits your pocket or purse as it only weighs about 13 ounces and measures 12 millimeters thin.

This upcoming tablet from Samsung seems to be very promising as far as specs and features are concern. The iPad seems to get some good competitor at last. Samsung’s plan of releasing the Galaxy Tab in the market through various network carriers seems a very good and smart move since they will be able to reach more potential consumers.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab will be available from AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile and Verizon Wireless very soon. However, prices are still unknown as of the moment. Apparently, Samsung is leaving the pricing announcement to the four major carriers. So whether you’re an AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile or Verizon Wireless subscriber, all of you got an equal chance of owning a Galaxy Tab of your own.
