The picture below is not the actual Nexus Two, but a mock-up courtesy of Gizmodo. It seems that after a year of being out in the streets, the Nexus One is still the King Phone of Google. Google CEO Eric Schmidt was so confident on the success of the Nexus One and the way it pushed the envelope for smartphone hardware that he already mentioned that there may be no Nexus Two. Ever!

Now, there are conflicting news slung all over the place by tech press and what not. Clearly, there is no clear, concrete and backed-up actual information about the successor to the Nexus Two. Although Gizmodo seems to have a source that has actual hands-on experience with the phone, all the other news has no confirmation as of yet, so don’t get your hopes up.
What seems to be a Google Phone is actually made by Samsung and borderline Galaxy S phone. Here are some of the details reported:
- Front-facing camera
- Looks like a Samsung Galaxy S phone from afar.
- 4 inch screen, possibly bigger.
- Possible AMOLED screen
- Black, shiny and built with glossy plastic
- Curvy form factor
- Front is “sort of concave” with hard edges
- Back is curved
- Uses Android
Although disappointing to Nexus fans, all hope is not lost so stay tuned for upcoming news about this piece.
