Apparently out from the blue, Samsung decided to release its first ever Windows Phone 7 Phone – The Samsung Omnia 7. While there were faint rumors circling this phone, and its name was mitigated by those leaks coming from other WP7 phones (HTC Mondrian, HTC HD7, HTC Mozart). The new Omnia 7 manages to strive complete with its guns ready to combat with any WP7 phones around.

The Samsung Omnia 7 (Model GT-i8700) is equipped with a 4-inch super AMOLED display capable up to 480 x 800 resolution. Powered by a Qualcomm QSD8250 1GHz processor, this phone thrives on a 122,40 x64, 20×10, 99mm scale form factor. It has an 5MP autofocus camera, 8GB memory and it supports 720p HD-quality video recording @ 25 FPS.
Other features include WiFi and Bluetooth. It accepts H.264, H.263, MPEG4 and WMV video codecs and MP3 and FM for audio. It will have A-GPS, Bing Maps, Bing Search, straight to the phone Xbox LIVE entertainment feature, Zune Music Network. It will be available across Europe, USA and Asia. It is possible that the Omnia 7 will be one of the first global Window Phone 7 device. This one is going to be available at a US shelf on November 8 for 199 USD with contract plan from AT&T.
