It was only this year when Samsung started its streak of “series” branded laptops starting from the Series 9, all the way to its other siblings including the Series 5 Chromebook.
As of today, the Samsung Series 3 popped out unexpectedly as pundits stride to find out what stuff it’s made out of.
At first glance, this notebook really resembles the beautiful yet expensive Series 9 laptop tagged at 1.2K USD. For the Series 3, it will be under different sizes from 11.6-inch up to 15-inch or even higher. For starters, the 12.1 inch would be powered by a Core i5 CPU, will use magnetic hard drive instead of SSD, making its chassis a bit thicker than the Series 9.
Meanwhile, if you want something that’s ‘high-end’, you can check its 15.6-inch model which sports a dual-core AMD A4 CPU or an alternative Intel Core i7 processor along with its Wireless Display (WiDi) capability.
Just so you know, while the Series 3 may fall a bit behind the specs compared to Series 9, its price fills in the void putting the 12.1-incher for 749 USD (CNET) – whereas engadget states the quad-core Core i7 15.6-inch model will be tagged at $819, quite strange if you’ll ask me.
Anyway, you can bet these laptops will start to roll out this year and we’ll hear more about their official prices on that period. If you’ll ask me, expect most of them not to exceed 10 benjamins including those with quad-core CPUs.
