With the Chromebook already out, Samsung has never been busier these days as its Series 5 netbook will start gracing European soil. This surely will bring buzz and excitement to our friends over the other continent.

The Samsung Series 5 netbook is the first series of Chromebooks which as you may know by now runs on the Chrome Operating System (OS) by Google. It has a 12.1-inch display screen capable of a 1280×800 pixel resolution. This netbook is powered by Intel’s Atom N570 dual core CPU while graphics is provided by GMA 3150.

There’s a robust 2GB of RAM and replacing the hard drive is the 16GB solid-state drive. Other features (usual ones) included in the netbook are USB port, VGA out, SD card slot and jack (for both headset and microphone). Oddly though, one wouldn’t find an Ethernet port, Bluetooth and digital video output.
The Samsung Series 5 will be available in Europe starting Friday (June 24) with the UK, France, Germany, Netherlands, Spain and Italy as the countries of first stop. The WiFi model would cost our European friends €399 or about £349 while the 3G one is set at €449 or £399. Other countries need not be impatient as they would have a taste of the Chromebook in the next coming months
