The specification of this device is actually still uncertain but Samsung’s goal is very clear. They want to their tablet computer act like a desktop computer. They also want to assure that the connectivity of this gossiped device will be superb. Many people predict that Samsung will use an atom processor for this tablet or even better.
Some even say that we can expect a lot from this device for this is really better than what iPad has. Plenty of people are comparing and discriminating iPad over this rumored device. There is much anticipation that this device will have a 3G capability and Wi-Fi. Samsung wants this device to act as a primary device. This is said to be an ebook reader tablet. This is Samsung’s entry in competing with the Apple’s iPad and other new tablets in the market globally.
According to some sources Samsung Slate will be released in the second half of the year. Spectators are expecting a lot from Samsung because based on the public’s feedbacks there are some who are quite disappointed with Apple’s iPad. For several reasons, one is that they find iPad’s processing power is slow and it has connectivity issues. Though iPad is typically an e-book reader with wireless capability but it doesn’t have inputs and outputs.
Due to the negative effect of this tech product, Samsung has a very good opportunity to excel over it but also very pressured to be the best. A lot of weight is in Samsung’s shoulder right now because of these issues and people are really expecting a lot out of the Samsung Slate. Samsung has started selling laptops in the U.S market last 2008. They also participated in making a business centered tablet, The Ultramobile PC push with its Q1. That was unfortunately a big failure. They are trying to regain the company’s reputation by running Samsung Slate with Q2. Hopefully, they will nail it this time.
