Television got a lot smarter as the top Korean television manufacturer just launched the first-ever Smart TV, coming this April. This latest innovation from Samsung is a web-connected television designed to do multi-tasking activities. The Samsung Smart TV allows viewers to enjoy their favorite channels while at the same time search for movies and television shows. Users can also simultaneously browse the internet as well through an interface called the Smart Hub. It may sound complicated but it’s actually not. It’s very easy to use and navigate.

Another great feature is that a user can download a bunch of apps from Samsung’s growing collection of more than 300 web-connected apps. Thus, downloading from sites such as Netflix, Blockbuster and Hulu Plus will be a breeze. All-time favorite sites such as YouTube, Facebook or Twitter may also be accessed. But we can only hope that the Video on Demand app – which is not yet available at the moment – will be added soon by Samsung.

It also comes with a sleek design and with a special remote control with a virtual QWERTY keyboard for even easier internet access. Of course being the latest in TV technology, the Smart TV has the ability to transform 2D movies into 3D.
The Samsung AllShare is another unique feature which allows a user to sync their own computer or mobile phone to the Smart TV to browse songs from your PC or view photos from the digital camera, etc. so it will surely be enjoyed by every member of the family. Samsung Smart TV models vary from 32in – 55in with price ranging from $899 – $2099.
