The first day of October 2010 saw SanDisk releasing their latest iteration of a media player, the SanDisk Sansa Fuze+. The usual gamut of features that you would expect from a mobile player are included here; Music, Video, Pictures, with the added bonus of a Digital FM Tuner with record functions and is expandable with a microSD and microSDHC card respectively.
The 2.4″ bright QVGA LCD screen works well for a minimalist look with its capacitive touch panel and easy to use graphic interface. With 4GB, 8GB, and 16GB models that supports a wide range of audio, video and picture formats, it’s also unique with the slotRadio & slotMusic memory card feature. The USB rechargeable battery lasts up to 24 hours for audio playback and 5 hours of video playback.
Control is the name of the game with the Sansa Fuze+. It’s either too responsive with the minor swipes or taps that you do or the interface OS is lagging behind your touches. Until you can sync it up with Windows Media Player through its Hi-speed micro-USB 2.0 port, you’re limited to simple drag-and-drop since there is no accompanying software to use with the Fuse+. This mini media player is priced at $ 79.99 for a 4GB model.
