We all know that a 3TB storage capacity for an HDD isn’t a thing that would make your jaw drop. Fair enough, but a 1TB HDD under a super small 2.5 inch unit? Well, if you’ll ask me, that’s one amazing thing and Seagate is now introducing it on its new generation of HDD products called as Constellation.2.

For those enthusiasts, you may remember that Western Digital have first shipped their own version of 1TB 2.5inch hard-drive months ago although S company is claiming it’s Constellation.2 would be the “first 1TB 2.5inch enterprise HDD” for the market today – I guess we’ll let the big boys brawl for that bragging title huh?
As for its specifications, the Constellation.2 is packing a 6GB/s performance both on SATA or SAS interface options. You can have this one on choice of capacities like 250GB, 500GB and 1TB. Along with this second generation device comes its new T10 protection information and Selft Encrypting Drive (SED) ensuring an optimal data security for the whole life of the Hard Drive.
If you are interested on getting this one, Constellation.2 is now available for shipping around the world and you can visit Seagate now to know more about its schtuff sans the price details.
