Remember the Viewsonic Viewpad tablet which was touted as another ‘iPad killer’ during the IFA event last September? Well it turns out that its affordable version in the body of Viewpad 10 is available for months now on Sears. Now since the shopping center is prepping up on the upcoming Black Friday 2010, it will be giving some ‘cute’ deals for this tablet starting today until Sunday.
The Viewsonic Viewpad 10 has a normal retail price of 399.99 USD in Sears, but today you can have a 20USD discount making it drop to a not so low price 379.99 USD. Probably not the best deal in the town, and I must say this 399.99 USD Samsung Galaxy Tab Android going to be released on November 14, is far more efficient based on our previous reviews.
Anyway, just to show some love with Viewpad 10, it’s a 10 inch tablet with a capacitive display (1024×600 resolution) powered by a N455 Atom processor which is clocked at 1.66GHz, its RAM is set to 1GB. Other goodies include, a 1.3MP front-facing webcamera at the top-middle portion of its bezel, intergrated speakers and take note, it’s powered by a puny Android 1.6 and there’s no telling if this device will be receiving a bite from Froyo just like its brothers (Viewsonic 7 and Viewsonic G).
