Having a desktop computer and a laptop doesn’t make you left behind…. before. Now, everything goes handy and a PC in hand is what will make you on the heat.

Sharp’s newest introduced mobile internet device named as Netwalker PC-T1 will surely be everyone’s favorite. This tablet PC outdated its predecessor, the PC Z1, leaving its QWERTY Keyboard behind and showcasing a new virtual QWERTY keyboard that doesn’t only makes it easier to use but also more hip to show. The device however can still be connected with a bluetooth keyboard. It is also equipped with an optical joystick for easier navigation.

Its 5 inch WVGA touch screen LCD panel with LED backlighting displays 1024×600 resolution graphics, assuring high quality and better views for videos and pictures.

One of the advantage of this new tablet is its Operating System run by Sharp’s customized version of Ubuntu 9.04 Linux ARM. It enables the user to read XMDF format books and has 101 e-books pre installed. The same device is also pre-installed with Firefox, Thunderbird and Open Office software promising a real PC experience on the palm.  It also includes an Anglo-Japanese dictionary and allows access to Sharp’s e-book store that packs over 25,000 titles.

Completing the package is a 512 MB Main memory, 8 GB on board flash storage, 1.56 B storage space, bluetooth 2.1 + EDR, runned by 800MHz freescale i.Mx515 processor,  USB 2.01/ mini USB(miniAB connector), micro SD (SDHC & SD compatible) ports, voice input/output and  connects in the net  with 802.11 b/g wireless LAN. This device measures 150x90x18mm and weighs 280g.

However with this really amazing features and offerings is a downside for PC-T1 allowing only a 6 hour battery life – 4 hours less than the PC-Z1.

The attractive looks and rich features would somehow be just a dream for some considering the big fortune it costs. The said mobile internet device costs 47,000 yen or $510. Wow, that’s really expensive. For now, PC-T1 will be circulating around Japan Market this coming month.
