Sure, the Sharp Touch Wood concept phone before looks cute and vintage but we never thought the S company was serious enough to make this phone a reality. So today, the touch wood phone is now revealed on the Japanese Market and it’s public release will have 15k units going to hit the shelf of jap’s local market – too many for a concept release, if you’ll ask me.

So far, the Sharp Touch Wood packs a 3.4 inch form-factor with 854 x 480 resolution display, with 5MP front-facing camera, microSDHC slot which is probably expandable up to 32 GB, it caters some 3G support under a GSM device – just what you expected for a Japanese-based smartphone. Other goodies include some love for Sony entertainment and its battery life lasting up to 460 hours on standby mode. And oh, didn’t I say the whole touch wood comes on a metallic-silvery QWERTY keyboard? Probably, to add more glit with this oak smartphone. If you are interested, the Sharp touch wood will be available on February / March under the NTT DoCoMo carrier.
Probably you will love this phone, if you’re a fan for the wooden-craft, but in my case, I’ve seen other interesting phones from Sharp, starting from the 3D Galapagos sans the shades!
