Ah yes! After months of teasing, Skype has finally revealed the latest 5.0 version for its mogul VoiP service application. Just like what we predicted on its beta stage, we aren’t going to be disappointed with Big Skype’s release now that its much bragged 10-way video calling is for real plus it has some added features that you may want to look at.

- Ability to log-in your Facebook account using Skype and see all of your friends who are using it as well to call them without leaving the interface.
- Group Video Calling: This is the real exciting part. With this feature, you can manage to make a video conference out from your contacts. (Still on Beta Stage)
- Having a chance to see dropped calls with its new simpler yet efficient design.
As usual, you will need to understand that opening more video-conference means eating more and more space towards your bandwidth. So if you are using just a nineties old modem connection then you may want to open only one video connection line, hoping that it won’t make your screen lag.
The Skype 5.0 is the last piece of the puzzle for critics to finally address who’s the real king for VoIP. Is it Gmail Voice? Skype? Or other IM service. Well, I’ll put my one dollar bet that the other contenders can’t perform video calls much like Skype.
You can download it right now in Windows, Mac OSx or Linux. (Provided that it will use a client to download the necessary files)
