Bethesda had released a patch for Skyrim on the PC to fix some annoying bugs and allow support for the newly released Skyrim Workshop and Creation Kit. As of today, patches for Xbox Live and European PS3 users are live, so you’ll now be able to download Patch 1.4 for free and get rid of all those annoying things that get in the way of your game. A US release for the PS3 version should be coming very soon, according to Skyrim’s Twitter.

The annoying bugs fixed by Patch 1.4 include are the missing items when viewing weapon racks and bookshelves within the character’s home, trophies that would not unlock when playing in a non-English language, and disappearing quest items. The patch also promises to help with situations that cause the game to crash such as simply loading a save game or going through the “Haemar’s Shame” quest, and an issue where overwriting a previous save file would fail. For a full list of fixes, you can check out Bethesda’s blog.
These fixes address problems on all three consoles, so you don’t have to worry about something being left out for your platform. Unfortunately, it’s not known whether the Creation Kit and Skyrim Workshop will be available for the Xbox and PS3 as well. The developers do have plans on getting these to the other consoles, but for now, no mod-making and sharing for you.
