Sony’s recent version of Cybershot called TX200V tells us that Sony is into wireless charging and content-offloading. The TX200V is a great camera, but Sony will soon be releasing its upgrade through Cybershot TX300V.

TX300V promises clear pictures with its 18.2 megapixel backside-illuminated CMOS sensor. Powerful photo processing is also assured through BIONZ processing. The camera is GPS enabled to allow photos to be geotagged. But what is remarkable with the TX300V is its wireless capability that could be used for charging, photo downloading and big screen viewing.

Sony will release the new camera bundled with a TransferJet-enabled “Multi-Cradle” dock. The said dock can charges the camera and download photos at the same time. While TransferJet is an old technology (as early as 2010), this one with the TX300V is said to be a total upgrade, for registering higher transfer speed; 560 Mbit/s or around 375 Mbit/s. Finally, the wifi feature of TX300V allows connectivity with TVs to enable the photo viewing on the big screen without the hassle of setting up wires.
Sadly, the Cyber-shot TX300V is exclusive for the Japanese market, to be released on March, with no announcement for release with other markets. No price is also given but some estimate the camera at around 50,000 Yen (approximately $409).
