Sony Ericsson Aspen: First WinMo 6.5.3 Smartphone | Specs Review

Posted on 05 February 2010 by pinoytutorial

Despite all the complaints of end user with regard to the way WinMO OS operates Sony Ericsson still gave Microsoft the privilege to run their latest gadget Aspen and though not all has complaints about WinMo a few people still loves to have Windows Mobile on their Smartphone.

I would have to say that Windows Mobile operating system is still way behind the OS from Android. If we will just base it on speed and multi-touch capabilities then WinMo is pretty much not running as fast.

Sony Ericsson has officially announced that their mobile phone Aspen will be running a Windows Mobile 6.5.0 (I really don’t get why they have to put .3 after five). You may be as curios as me of why they Microsoft named this Operating System as 6.5.3. Remember that they are somehow trying to put things together for the benefit of having a more improved and somehow achieved a flawless OS (I hope) that can be at par with the other Operating System in the market today. The competition is fierce nowadays and if Microsoft won’t put their act up all together no Mobile manufacturer will ever get their software for it will just be a hindrance to get people buying their device.

Moving along let’s talk about why the 6.5.3 came about and not just 6.5 better yet 7! Microsoft has been rumored to be all cranked up with their effort of trying to clean their act and come up with a better OS and they believe that the Windows Mobile 7 is the name they will give to the OS that will be their crowning glory.

So that gives us all an idea that this OS in aspen is not the best yet. In fact it maybe be something that is still experimental for MS but as I have heard this OS has improved speed on navigation and browsing plus a capacitive Touchscreen with multi-touch feature is something end users should look forward to. Just don’t expect too much from this version it may not be something comparable with what iPhone can do but it’s definitely something better compared to MS previous OS!

I love the style of Sony Ericsson Aspen (aka Faith) and I really hope that WinMo will not be a hindrance or the reason for me to dislike it. The technical specs are pretty much of a good stuff. Check it out below!
