If we will go back to November of 2009 where Sony Ericsson managed to launch its first-ever Android smartphone in the form of the Xperia X10, it doesn’t really take a genie to figure out that it would come out as one of the most interesting smartphone of the company, more of a negative way than a positive one, because of its flaws that’s supposed to be fixable but in some bizarre, unexplained turnaround of events, the company just keeps on repeating the same mistakes again.
I am talking about why in the world did they reveal such a sexy product using an age-old Android 1.6 platform, if it can easily proceed to éclair then to Froyo avoiding the anger of its thousands of customers wondering the same thing?
Anyway, while the bitter story still continues up to this moment, it appears Sony Ericsson finally understand that one of the core features Xperia 10 lacks is a multi-touch capability and it’s now confirmed that they are rolling out this update, not only for Japan or USA but on a global scale. Yes folks! This means for the first time within the history of your 1-year old Xperia 10 device, it’ll be blessed with a pinch-to-zoom capability which should be available for all since the yesteryear.
Expect this update to come out as an OTA and will proceed for this whole week. Hopefully, it’ll arrive here as well!

I got the multi touch update thru PC Companion. Pinch to zoom works great! It works well will google maps, angry birds, adobe reader 9, and chm reader. It does not work on my browser as they claimed. But still, limited multitouch functionality is better than nothing.
