Geez, this is getting quite annoying everytime this particular news keeps on sprouting on the blogosphere making the users wait in vain again.
As for the latest news coming from S.E, it appears they have finally come onto the right senses of revealing the Android 2.1 Éclair for its Sony Ericsson Xperia X8 smartphone. And the steps to have this update should be the same like from the last update received by Xperia X10 Mini / Mini Pro. So why the heck we aren’t so delighted to hear this news?
Well, let’s just say that this update should have happened ever since X8 was revealed towards the public 6 months ago and take note, we aren’t talking about Froyo here but merely an Éclair update. Who knows when until those Xperia X8 users can finally have a tasty treat from Froyo? Perhaps on 2012? – I am just saying!
The next irritating news about this Éclair update is, there will be a delay again on rolling this firmware out to all Xperia X8 devices. Again, the ETA for this one is ‘coming soon’ short-way of saying – unknown. And so far, there are only 32 batches that was confirmed to have this update today. Good luck, for those Xperia X8 users outside USA, huh?
Hopefully one day, we’ll be hearing how Sony Ericsson will manage to reveal a new smartphone whereas it caters an up-to-date Android platform. And I am telling you boys and gals, that will be the day!
