Thinking fast and thinking big, Sony shared to the world the Micro Vault MACH, the first USB 3.0 flash memory drive from one of the most sought after names in technology.

Admittedly, the first (and certainly not the last) USB 3.0 flash drive from Sony is not the fastest nor is not on the top echelons when comes to speed, but at least it gives us that unique experience to store, retrieve and transfer high volume of data from the minute Word document to the heavy High Definition videos. And considering that it is in USB 3.0, we are for sure to be taken good care of when it comes to speed and accuracy.
Clocking in at 120MB/s reading and 90MB/s writing, the Micro Vault MACH is available in 8Gb, 16GB, 32GB and 64GB variants and taking close notice at its name, it embodies VAULT in terms of storage and MACH when it comes to speed – perfect for the on the go population.
Encased in a brushed aluminium casing, the Micro Vault MACH is also designed to withstand the daily barrage of knocks and bruises of everyday data transfer. The retractable USB connector provides added protection and a compact design. The LED indicator gives the confirmation of the transfer and when the drive is in use. A five year warranty completes the Micro Vault MACH’s portfolio.
The Sony Micro Vault MACH will be made available later this year but the price is yet to be announced. Downloadable software includes File Rescue and X-Pict Story.
