The Sony denies the news that it apologized for the glitches consumers complain on the newly launch PS Vita. Some of the complaints include software bug, unresponsive touchscreen and freeze system.

David Wilson, head of UK PR at Sony Computer Entertainment said in an interview that the launch of the PS Vita is “terrific” and that the company is “annoyed” in the news of the glitches. Mr. Wilson said that there is no evidence on the alleged glitch and denied that Sony issued such an apology.
The alleged apology was posted in the website of the company in Japan. However, it seems that the correct translation for the statement was that the company is apologizing to their customers for the difficulty they experienced in getting through tech support.
The PS Vita (PSV) is a handheld console which succeeded the PSP. It was released in Japan and parts of Asia on December 17, 2011. Sony may be justified to be annoyed considering that the news of the glitches complained with which circulated, including the videos of the problems, posted in some websites are without evidence. In fact, these may either be only rumors or bad publicity.
Whatever the reason for the false news, both on the glitch and the alleged apology, Sony shoud not fell that bad. Despite the bad publicity, reports on the sale of the new Sony product are positive, with 325,000 sold in the region. It will be released in the UK next year.
