Sony is one of those brands that never seem to fail in any of its endeavors. As a matter of fact it has earned various credits for some of the world’s most popular technological gadgets available at present. Despite this fact, Sony has never stopped and is continuing to expand their product line and come up with the most innovative products such as the Sony Vaio 3D laptop.

We can strongly say that as of present, there is nothing quite like a Vaio. This Sony notebook line has managed to differentiate themselves among the other laptops available in the market by coming up with excellent features and a very impressive design.
And recently, as announced in the IFA 2011 held in Berlin, Sony is coming out with a new Sony Vaio 3D laptop to add up to this very popular Sony Vaio notebook line. Sony showed off prototypes of this upcoming laptop that can display a 3D video and games at a 1080p resolution. The said model also comes with 3D button and active shutter glasses, which is necessary to watch and enjoy 3D multimedia contents. It sports a 16-inch 16:9 display and housed in a current F series chassis.
This upcoming Sony Vaio 3D laptop also uses a technology called “frame-sequential technology” which enables the rapid cycle of the left and right eye views with blank screen in between to reduce the possibility of the occurrence of what we called the “crosstalk” that most often results to a poor 3D image quality.

Sony did not give any information regarding what brand of graphics chip was used by its prototype model. However, they have advised that the final product may be different from what they have shown in the IFA 2011. Sony also announced that this upcoming laptop is expected to be available early next year. However, no pricing details were mentioned as of the moment.
This announcement adds up to Sony’s previous moves of entering the 3D market. Previously Sony has also confirmed that its Blu-ray players and PlayStation 3 gaming console are going to have a refresh to become 3D capable devices.
Most people seem to be a little indifferent when it comes to 3D technology. That is why some manufacturers are waging multi-dimensional marketing campaign to create awareness and to communicate how the 3D technology will change your viewing experience. Just like any other manufacturer, Sony plans to introduce 3D technology aggressively and the upcoming launch of the Sony Vaio 3D laptop definitely seems to be a good start.
