Just like The Prince of Persia Trilogy, Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell will also be released on PlayStation 3 Classics HD this coming 2011.

Splinter Cell Trilogy will feature the first three episodes of the highly-acclaimed stealth video game series. The collection will basically include Splinter Cell (the original version), Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow, and Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory. And though Ubisoft has confirmed to IGN that the trilogy will be in HD, no further details were released.
On the other hand, Crystal Dynamics is also set to release a Tomb Raider Trilogy on March 2011.
If you don’t know it yet, here’s a brief description of the game.
As endorsed by the American author Tom Clancy, Splinter Cell is a series of video games that tells the story of an elite intelligence operative named Sam Fischer. In the game, Fischer is tasked to complete the missions that were given to him by Third Echelon, a secret branch of NSA. Fisher will then have to make his move hidden and swift. Attacks must also be quick and decisive to attain success.
And as the game progress along with its sequels, additional features were presented such as the cooperative mode and the two-on-two multiplayer mode. So what do you think? Will the game be released on Blu-ray? Or could it be just for download only?
