While this isn’t the Star Wars game we’re expecting for this year, this sequel may serve its purpose on thrilling the blood that became dormant from its padwan of the yestergeneration.
Coming from the gamingsphere today, Star Wars: The Old Republic will have its official release date on Q3 of this year and it will be developed by BioWare which will be published on Windows platform exclusively.

As for its gameplay, SWTOR will include mechanics on the core story of star wars which will happen on the Galactic Republic and Sith Empire. Expect that BioWare would be infusing support “on the fly” customization to allow each class to fill any role on the party which would prevent spam for the entire game. In addition to that, this game would be available for open or close storyline which might affect characters or NPCs. Interestingly, its developers would be revealing a tunnel shooter / scrolling shooter in which it will enable gamers to determine, track and shoot flying objects on a narrow tunnel which should be very thrilling ala one of the scenes on Empire’s Strikes Back movie in which Luke Skywalker eliminate his target without using any computer synthesizer for his eyes.
As good as this game may sound, it appears it might become a flop just because of the big investment that was put into this project amounting to 300 million dollars. Anyway, let’s see how BioWare launch this one on September this year.

I doubt very much it will be a flop and im even more sure that a large investment into a game certainly isnt cause for a game to flop… might take a bit longer to get EA the profits they want but i seriously doubt it. Across all the mmos i play at least 70%+ of the ppl i have met and talked to are at least interested in trying TOR so well just have to wait till release to see what happens but a flop……i doubt it…..
