The success of the original StarCraft inspired Blizzard to come up with StarCraft II. Apparently, the success of StarCraft was partly attributable to the fact that their system requirement is very reasonable enough. With their system requirement, almost everybody can play StarCraft and this will be same strategy that the StarCraft II has.
To give you a brief history, the development of StarCraft II was first announced in 2007 at the Blizzard Worldwide Invitational held in Seoul, South Korea. The development of this game was delayed for sometime to give way to Blizzard’s World of the Warcraft. And by the year 2008, StarCraft II has been one-third complete already.
According to Blizzard the StarCraft II will come in trilogy of games starting with Wings of Liberty, followed by Heart of the Swarm and lastly will be the Legacy of the Void. A lot of speculations and rumors had come out regarding the StarCraft II within this period.

Some even made some comments on its very lengthy development.
Blizzard estimated the release of StarCraft II in 2009 but this was postponed. And on February 2010 StarCraft II began some beta testing, which is expected to last from 3-5 months. And finally, the long wait is over, Blizzard’s StarCraft II is said to be launch this July 27.
Basically, StarCraft II is a military science fiction real-time strategy video game. The storyline focuses four years after StarCraft: Brood War and features a return of a number characters from the original series. It has some major additions such as the StarCraft II Marketplace.
Surely, the StarCraft II will be another success story for Blizzard. Make sure that your PC is ready. The minimum system requirements for the StarCraft II for PCs includes:

Whether your PC needs an upgrade, or might even wanted to have a new one is up to you. The new Starcraft game installment will be available for $60 (standard edition) and $100 (collector’s edition). Selected stores such as Bestbuy, GameStop and Walmart across North America will be hosting a Starcraft II Midnight Opening activities to welcome Starcraft enthusiasts who are eager to buy the game in advance. In Canada, Future Shop and GameStop Canada will also conduct similar event.

SC sequel is similar like original, there are no major changes. The graphics has been updated a few units added. Still, game is good and enjoyable. It reminds me on good old times.
