Looks like simply using generic keyboards is no longer enough for games. A full sized keyboard now needs so many additional buttons whose main priority and main function is to be a Massively Multiplayer Online Game keyboard that the usual number of keys on a keyboard just got larger. Here’s the SteelSeries Shift MMO Keyset.

If you or someone you know is a WOW addict jonesing for a new gaming keyboard this holiday season, this is just the perfect item to get. Now kicking virtual butt with just a pre-mapped keyboard will make your pwnage rate go through the roof.
Each Shift Keyset has its own ID chip named the SteelSeries ID2C. It makes itself known to the base keyboard unit and then uses the SteelSeries Engine Software to enable drag-and-drop macro management.

This is currently compatible with all current MMO titles, as SteelSeries mentions in their PR. The highly customizable Keyset has such features like Emote keys, Media Keys and Heat Spots to name a few.
This is coming soon with no definite release date. The SteelSeries Shift MMO Keyset will be available for $24.99 in the US and €24.99 in Europe but is separate from the base unit.
