If you think Tekken Tag Tournament 2 and Super Street Fighter IV 3D are the only Capcom games you should wait for this year, think again! Coming from a tweet message by TK’s producer Yoshinori Ono, “[they] are preparing for an announcement for SFxTK” whereas this arrival should become an outstanding video-game like Marvel Vs Capcom 3.
For those who are unaware, Street Fighter x Tekken has already been rumored at the ComiCon event last summer although the info for this was vaguely detailed.
Last July, Famitsu had a conversation with Yoshinori Ono about the possibility of a release for this game and he said that it won’t be out for “at least two years after its announcement”. Meaning, if this one is going to be announced this GDC, we may be counting cars until 2012 to 2013!
In addition to that, it appears there will be two teams who will handle the titles for this versus game. The Street Fighter x Tekken is going to be developed under the wings of Capcom whereas Tekken x Street Fighter is going to be handled by Namco Bandai.
No matter how long this game is going to be developed, one thing is for sure though, that it will be available on Playstation 3 and Xbox 360!
