The Super Mario 3DS is the latest game in the works under the Mario series. Based on the recent article released by vg247, the game is as a hybrid of two former Mario games: the Super Mario Galaxy and the Super Mario on N64.
By combining two of the best games in the franchise, Super Mario 3DS could provide new spin to tried and tested obstacles. Entirely in 3D, it is also set to revolutionize the Mario gaming space by providing realistic depth to both new and familiar features. It also marks the return of the raccoon suit, an item that allowed Mario to fly for a short time in Super Mario Bros. 3 2D. Thus, comeback of rare Mario items is definitely foreseeable.
The question probably up in the minds of curious fans right now is – who else will comeback in this new Mario game? Regardless of returns, excitement for both old and new Mario elements is most welcome. With these bits and pieces about Mario’s return to the gaming world, Super Mario 3DS could very well provide the best of both worlds: by reliving the Mario glory of 2D through the wide range of possibilities available in 3D.
The Super Mario 3DS will be available in the Nintendo 3DS platform and will be released this 2011.
