Now that every network provider in US is going towards 4G LTE standards, mobile phone manufacturers should continually adapt. As they say: “You better start swimming or you’ll sink like a stone”. Everyone should embrace the fast pace developments in smartphone technology or else they will be left for good. Are you listening Nokia?
Just recently, we heard about Samsung’s announcement regarding its Galaxy S 4G handset going to T-Mobile’s 4G network. We know you’re quite excited to know the details and so are we.

T-Mobile and Samsung Mobile are teaming up to bring the fastest smartphone to the market. The new Samsung Galaxy S 4G (which according to some sources could be the Vibrant 4G) will be included in what T-Mobile claims as the largest 4G network in the US. Currently, we only had a few information about the mobile phone’s specs including:
- Sporting a super AMOLED touchscreen display (no definite measurement)
- Powered by Android 2.2 / Froyo (could be updated upon release)
- Capable of 21Mbps peak download (according to Press launch)
- Will be included in T-Mobile’s HSPA+ 4G network
We’ve also received information that T-Mobile is prepping up for another smartphone called ‘sidekick’ – along with the Galaxy S 4G – and sports a QWERTY keyboard layout. The 2 handsets is reported to join T-Mobile’s 4G network along with Dell Streak 7 & G-Slate Honeycomb tablet during the first half of the year.

With this scantily gathered information about the new Samsung Galaxy S 4G we cannot judge if it truly fits among the best 4G smartphones. What we can do is wait until the Mobile World Congress Trade show on February 13 wherein Samsung is reported to announce more details about its new 4G handset. We’ll keep you posted.
