After a long gawk with Sammy’s Galaxy Ace 2 yesterday, the company confirmed Galaxy S Blaze 4G will be heading its way on T-Mobile, for real this time. And, expect the device to hit retailers by the end of March.
Just a recap, the trail-blazing phone debuted last January at the heat of CES. It is expected to be Magenta’s fastest 4G child offering HSDPA+42 network support enabling you to achieve peak download speeds up to 42Mbps. Likewise, to pull that herculean power means the handset showcase some beefy specs under its hood. According to its PR, Galaxy S Blaze will be powered by a Snapdragon S3 dual-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz, 3.97-inch Super AMOLED screen all built on a carbon black form-factor. Also, the device will have a 5 megapixel rear camera that captures HD (720p) videos along with a 1.3MP front camera for video-chats. However, it appears the Korean company is a little shy of infusing this one with some Ice Cream Sandwich delight as it’s only preinstalled with Android 2.3 (Gingerbread). Perhaps, an OTA update is expected to arrive soon but we want to hear it from the horse’s mouth first.
Meanwhile, the handset comes preloaded with other media-centric applications like Netflix, T-Mobile TV in mobile HD4 along with Samsung’s Media hubs. Other goodies also include TeleNav GPS hands-free navigator, Magenta’s 4GPro App Pack which consists of Dropbox, Evernote, Tripit, Camscanner, LinkedIn and, if you want to find reviews for the places you want to go, there’s Yelp.
