The Iconia Tab A510 is a 10.1-inch tablet that offers 1280×800 display resolution. Who wouldn’t recognize Android 4.0 or Ice Cream Sandwich as this will be the operating system (OS) of the device. Keeping the multitude of functions in order is its quad-core NVIDIA Tegra 3 processor that has been paired with a RAM of 1 GB. Taking stills and videos is quite an ease as there are a duo of cameras present both in the front and rear. Storage isn’t a concern as there is 16GB of internal memory (versions supporting 32GB and 64GB would also be coming out).

There is a bit of good news on hand. It seems that our European friends get the first taste of the tablet. Acer had recently held a press event in Germany where the Iconia A510 was unveiled. Release of the tablet is said to be by April. Pricing on the other hand was pegged at €500. It’s still a mystery as to when Acer’s new baby hits US shores.

Taking off from the Acer Iconia Tab A500, the A510 is a 10.1-inch tablet which has a 1280 x 800 resolution display. . Running the show is NVIDIA’s quad core Tegra 3 processor that has a clock speed of 1.3 GHz. With the processor, its operating system (OS) – the Android 4.0 or Ice Cream Sandwich – should run very smoothly. It also sports a duo of cameras with the front-facing one at 2 megapixels while the rear-facing is at 5 megapixels.

One unique feature of the Iconia Tab A510 is its user interface (UI) as it has been specifically customed by Acer to grant user a hell of an experience. It can be noted that the UI has bias for the use of rings (ring-centric as they say!) As user taps the ring, access to bookmarks, volume, search, screenshot functionality, etc. is revealed. On the device’s feel, there’s a rubber coating at the back (probably for good grasp).

Being a tablet on the mid to low-end of Acer, no details are available at the moment on its release as well as pricing.

Some online stores in Europe have already included in their pricelist the Acer Aspire One D270. D270 is Acer’s next netbook which will use Cedar Trail. The latest soon-to-be released Acer netbook is preceded the D260 and features a 10.1 inc display. The processor is 1.6 GHz Atom N2600 and supported with 1GB RAM. The netbook will have the usual 320 GB hard drive for storage. The D270 is also expected to be released in two kinds, three-cell and six-cell battery, and in different colors.

The Cedar Trail platform belongs to the ultra-low voltage Intel Atom series primarily used for netbook and nettop devices. The platform utilizes 32nm fabrication process and minimal 3.5 W TDP for less power consumption. Other tech suppliers like Samsung and Asus also feature Intel Cedar Trail on their next-gen netbook offerings.

D270 was previously expected to be released December, but the release of the Atom Processor was delayed, making Acer to adjust the release date of its netbook. No release date is announced yet, but some expects this be released mid January of 2012. Prices differ depending on the battery packs; 250 Euros or $324 USD for the three-cell and 269 Euros or $348 USD for the six-cell.

Rumor has it that Acer will release a 15-inch ultrabook on 2012. This rumor gets better as the price may only be $699. If this is true, it will be an answered prayer for consumers which have 3 criteria in buying a laptop. Portability, affordability and a larger screen.

However, there is yet no announcement from Acer on this matter and so is the specifications of the rumored ultrabook. In a recent interview Acer CEO J. T. Wang said that Acer will sell more ultrabooks next year which he believes will help improve ACER profit margins as ultrabooks command higher prices. He also said that Acer intends to take on Apple’s ultra-thin Macbook Air.

Should Acer release a cheaper 15-inch ultrabook, this will give consumers an alternative to Apple’s Macbook Air priced at $999. The 15-inch ultrabook can also take on other ultrabooks in the market all of which currently sporting a 13.3 inch display.

Actually, there is another ultrabook with a larger display. It is the Samsung Series 5 14-inch model which unfortunately is only available in South Korea and would be priced at $1300 if sold in the US.

Acer’s promotional video is, well, family oriented and gives little information on what is to be expected with the Iconia Tab A200. But being a promo ad, it is still up to Acer to tweak the video for it to be more on the techie side and leave the camping site alone.

From the look of things, the Acer Iconia Tab A200 is pretty much like an ordinary tablet: 10 inch, 1280×800 display screen that enable users to play games and use the slab like a virtual book, just like in the commercial.

But then again, little is known about the Iconia Tab A200. Word on the street is that it’ll probably sport an Android Honeycomb 3.x or a 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. Relevance to these details is still being withheld and with that, the Operating System is yet to be confirmed.

Described as Iconia Tab A500’s “low cost” counterpart, the A200 will most likely have WiFi, Bluetooth, full sized USB port and expandable memory. Specs are limited and draw the line to the aforementioned details. Watch the video below.

Like the rest of the phones of the Liquid series, the Liquid Express is definitely an Android phone, boasts a 5MP camera, storage that can hold up to 32GB with an SD card, and of course the usual WiFi and Bluetooth. The Express runs on Gingerbread (Android 2.3), a single-core Qualcomm 800MHz processor, a resolution of 320 x 480 pixels, 256k colors, and a 3.5-inch touchscreen panel; but according to Acer, one of the biggest features of this new phone is NFC (Near Field Communication).

For the uninitiated, NFC allows for short-range, wireless connections to phones and other devices. For functionality. NFC can be used for data exchange, and even credit card transactions. It sounds like Bluetooth, but it’s definitely not, because NFC is far more secure and reliable. This is the first Acer phone to be equipped with this kind of technology, and Acer is hoping to use this as a stepping stone for more NFC-enabled smartphones in the future. It’s rare to see an NFC-enabled phone, and seeing Acer dedicated to this kind of technology may help spark some interest in this new gadget of theirs.

This phone may have some typical, uninteresting specs, but the Android OS and NFC feature definitely make up for its shortcomings. The Acer Liquid Express is now available in the UK for £15.32 per month on a 24-month contract with T-Mobile.

As you can see from the snapped XML screenies from the company’s website, the two rumored devices may be called Acer Iconia Tab A700 and A701 packing a Nvidia quad-core mobile processor along with a ginormous resolution size of 1920×1200, in which pundits point out will be bigger than your average 42-inch television shrunk down. Likewise, everything is still a speculation but one can’t dismiss this evidence – remember the times when the majority thought a 720p smartphone is too farfetched?

The details are really vague but most probably, the device will be under a 10-inch form factor and since it’ll be powered by Tegra 3, its specifications will be high-end, something that will compete the specifications of Asus Transformer Prime or that one from Lenovo.

Additional facts include the devices’ operating system might be Honeycomb only but as we all know, Acer is planning to release an upgrade for Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) next year hinting these tablets’ possible release date.

The first on the list is the high-end Acer AZ5 which comes with a 23-inch HD monitor with widescreen displays that has touchscreen (multi-touch) technology. The heart of this desktop is an Intel Core i3-2120 CPU which helps in handling multiple applications simultaneously where users can do more in less time. Other technical attributes include a 4GB DDR3 RAM, 1TB HDD allowing users to store many content and multimedia files, 2.5W stereo speakers with Dolby Home Theater feature for realistic sound playback and gaming and an optical drive.

Second on the list is the AZ3 Series which has a smaller 21-inch HD Multi-Touch panel but presents an AMD Dual-Core A4-3400 CPU option. For the graphics, you’ll have HD6410D that has solid performance and is compatible with the latest digital media. It also comes with 2.5W stereo speakers and an optimized Dolby Home Theater audio so you can watch your favorite movies and TV shows in rich audio. It has a hard drive of 500GB and an optical drive for back-ups.

Both the AZ5 and AZ3 Acer series are available now and have affordable prices that will tempt you to get one for Christmas. The AZ5 Series has a retail price of $749.00 while the AZ3 Series starts at $649.99.

Previously known as Acer W4 at IFA 2011 event in Berlin, the Acer Allegro is the company’s first WP7-powered handset. Nothing to be excited about this phone, unless you’re a big Acer fan. It packs average set of specs including a 3.6-inch WVGA (480 x 800 resolution) LCD display, 1GHz Qualcomm MSM8255 CPU, 8GB storage, Windows Phone 7.5, 5 megapixel rear camera with LED flash, A-GPS, accelerometer and proximity sensor. For connectivity, it offers the usual Wifi and Bluetooth 2.1 combo. The handset weights 126 g and measures 11.6 x 5.9 x 13mm.

We’re surprised, nonetheless, to see Acer offering a Windows Phone device since it was relatively quiet (compared to other manufacturers) when Microsoft launched its mobile platform. Then again, we’re happy that Acer had decided to join and perhaps, we’ll be seeing more high-end devices in the future.

The handset is also scheduled to be distributed in India (around $402) but if you happen to be in France, the Acer Allegro will be sold for 299 Euros in 2 different colors: Blue and White. No word from company, however, if the handset will be released in other parts of Europe, UK or North America. Stay tuned.
