HP EliteBook 8560W CFast Card Revealed!

HP just released its new line of EliteBook Mobile Workstation. This new line of notebooks feature the latest Sandy Bridge processor, DDR3 1333 Mhz RAM, NVIDIA Quadro disk drives and pretty much any other workstations available. With these specs, it seems like there’s nothing that’ll make it the next big thing. But one of the notebooks of the line proved that he is not an ordinary laptop, and that is the EliteBook 8560w.

The pictures rendered by the EliteBook don’t look extraordinary, but by close inspection, and by that we mean by zooming it and making the zoomed version clearer, this notebook has a CFast slot that may mean that devices supporting CFast cards might be on the works. Let me explain what CFast are, CFast is a new variant of Compact Flash cards.

The difference between CFast and ordinary CF slots is really obvious because of the name of C“Fast” which means that CFast cards slots are faster. This is because CFast cards uses SATA interface that’s why they said that it can reach the speed of 300 MB per second while ordinary CF card slots could only be as fast as 133 MB/s at its max.

If the predictions are true, this means that the EliteBook of HP is the first CFast supporting laptop, this might even be a pro photographer’s dream lappy.

HP has unleased the Probook during the 2010 CeBit event. At the sametime two Elitebooks 2540p and 2740p notebooks are also introduced. See our specs review of these mobile gadgets.

Hewlett have a new crew to add up to their Elitebook Series, we all know that most of the dudes on the Elite team is powered by an Intel Core 2 Duo processor which makes the Probook series a little bit ahead because of the Core i-Series it’s boasting but then again Elite will not be Elite for nothing! That is why Hewlett Packard has made HP Elitebook 2540p and HP Elitebook 2740p.

The HP Elitebook 2540p is a 12.1 inch notebook that I can say is pretty much of a predecessor of Elitebook 2530p and since they 2540p belong to the same Elite group you can expect the same smooth finish and looks from the renowned series from the Elitebook 2540p.As for the Elitebook 2740p is an absolutely classy tablet that has a touch of sexiness for its ultra-thin slate, oh yes this is a tablet PC!

Now these two Elites are basically made to perform and meet you highest needs for business! Maybe that is why the price is no wonder something that you can say as an investment. These two, together with the Probooks series were launched March 1, 2010 and though the Probooks are expected to be available this month of March, the new Elite dudes will not be available till April.

As I have said earlier Elite stands for supremacy of intelligence and enjoys popularity, well I bet these two new computing devices will surely get what is due to them. Now HP Elitebook 2540p and 2740p also brags that they’ve met the MIL-STD 810G military standard test, which only means one thing; these two can withstand torture! Add EPEAT and Energy Star to that and you get a device worth $1099 and $1599.

More of the Technical Specifications for the two:

The 2740p promises to deliver a faster tap gesture so you can finish your work immediately. It will also have six-cell li-ion prismatic battery that can provide up to five hours of battery life on the other hand you can opt to have the HP 2700 ultra-slim battery so you max it up to 11 hours. It weighs 3.8 pounds and displays a 12.1 inch screen.

Moving on with HP Elitebook 2540p it only weighs 3.3 lbs which is the lightest from HP Elite it will deliver you with 12.1-inch diagonal LED display with and HP Fingerprint Sensor, software for business card reader and an option for a webcam. You can choose from a three-cell battery that can last to 4 hours and a six-cell battery that lasts for 8 hours or a nine-cell battery with an uptime of 10.5 hours.

Both will be equipped with HP SkyRoom, high-definition video conferencing software that gives real-time collaboration for face-to-face meetings.
