New rumors surfaced for the iPhone 5 including a new Metal Back and NFC chip addition. See details in our post

Just when we thought we’ve heard it all, a new batch of rumors have surfaced online about the forthcoming iPhone 5. This time around it concerns about the iPhone 5’s alleged new metal back and the revived NFC feature.

I guess you’ve heard bits and pieces about the latter but a new material to replace iPhone 4’s glass back enclosure? That’s something new! Allegedly, a reliable source from Foxconn – the well-known Taiwan-based factory that manufactures various Apple devices like iPhone, iPod and iPad – had relayed the information to 9to5mac.

According to the info, Apple will purportedly abandon the back-glass enclosure being used by the iPhone 4 and instead will resort to an all-metal back – similar with the first-gen iPhone. The material to be used, however, isn’t clear. But based on what we’ve heard, it seems that the iPhone 5 will use Aluminum. Though, many fanboys are still hoping for the liquid metal.

Meanwhile, rumors about the iPhone 5 getting NFC (near-field communication) feature have been resurrected. If you remember, there were reports that Apple had already decided not to push with NFC due to lack of clear industry standard. However, a tweet from Elizabeth Woyke of Forbes magazine stated that an Apple employee claimed that the iPhone 5 will have NFC!

We’re not sure about this because it seems that Apple was adamant about using the “wave and pay” instead of NFC. Then again, everything is possible. Some say that Apple might integrate NFC into the iPhone 5 but would utilize a proprietary technology. In other words, it might create its own standard for NFC which other manufacturers will follow.

That’s all for now. Have fun with these rumors but take them with a grain of salt.

The new generation of Apple's iPhone has finally arrived. The iPhone 4 will be distributed with AT&T and will go on sale on June 24. Be sure to see long lines again!

And we thought the iPhone 3GS was the latest in technology. We were wrong! iPhone manufactured by Apple, one of the leading companies in producing state-of-the-art technology, has just launched their genuine innovation this time touted as the iPhone 4! With its seemingly the same features as the iPhone 3 and 3GS. What are the additional features that we are expecting to see from this new baby?

To start with, it is thinner by 24% than the iPhone 3GS. It slims down to a 9.3 mm making it the sexiest smartphone in the planet but slightly heavier than 3GS at 137g. The baby also sports a “Retina Display,” which runs on 3.5-inch, 960×640 pixels screen. It offers four times higher resolution and contrast ratio than the iPhone 3GS. It also has “78% of the pixels on an iPad“, according to Steve Jobs who is Apple’s CEO. It has two cameras – one facing at the front and the other at the back which was upgraded from 3 to 5 megapixels while retaining the same size of pixel sensors so you can take more photos compared to others where they make the pixel sensors smaller when upgraded which results to taking lesser photos.

It also showcases zooming, focusing and LED flash. It can also record HD video in 720p at 30fps and has a tap to focus video, built-in video editing and one-click sharing right at your fingertips. The LED flash stays on while you record the scenes. It also supports the iMovie application, allowing users to do recording, editing and uploading it to the Web through e-mail, MMS, MobileMe or YouTube. iPhone 4 also has video calling through an application called “FaceTime” which runs on WiFi but can happen only between two iPhone 4 devices.

With its A4 chip it promises longer battery life. As to its frame it is made of stainless steel, replacing the plastic that lined previous iPhone models. The systems’ antennas are connected right into the phone’s structure. It is built with glass on the front and back which is “30 times harder than plastic” used for sufficient optical quality, and a scratch resistance screen. It promises to go on sale with AT&T.

It also has a gyroscope for gamers inside it tracking movement from other gamers for networking. With the new iOS 4 and Bing as search engine, it promises faster web experience. Your normal e-books are now iBooks where you can easily sync notes and other data into your phone. It also claims to be highly recyclable with arsenic, BFR, mercury, and PVC free.

With all things said and done the iPhone 4G will debut in the markets on June 24 and pre-order starts June 15, 2010. It will reach 18 countries in July, 24 countries more by August and another 44 in September this year. We surely can’t wait to get ours. Finally an iPhone smartphone with features of an iPad! Great applications by the way! Bravo Apple!

Okay boys and gals! The biggest and most anticipated Apple event of the year has come before us today, 5 hours from now. Steve Jobs and his padwans will reveal to us the real score about that most clamored next generation iPhone. You know? The one that was said to be stolen and was returned to thy Apple Kingdom – Last month. The ‘phone’ that made one of Giz editors go on a robin hood fiasco, with the media.

Question is, will it be called, iPhone 4G or iPhone HD? — Will they be the same or different? Or like some of the optimistic fanboys are saying “Is too much two ask for two different kind of iPhone, this year?”.

I say, bring it on! Although, we would appreciate it, if Steve will shed a light about that leaked iPod Touch with a cam on ebay. And more about the glory that was iPhone OS 4.0.

Stay tune guys, this will be a blast!

The stolen iphone 4G has created a buzz when Gizmodo editor and blogger Jason Chen got arrested and accused of theft. See story behind the scenes.

Certain news about an editor of a blog has been leaked and has been released into the press that he stole an iPhone (iPhone 4G) and several other gadgets that are yet to be released in the market. It was discussed by the authorities if the actions of Jason Chen were legal (Gizmodo informed that they bought the phone for $5000) as to releasing reviews about gadgets such as the newest iPhone.

The whole circus started when Jason Chen, editor of the Gizmodo blog released a review on an “Apple prototype 4G iPhone”. The said phone is still a concept and is still being developed, so when the scoop about this gadget came out, Apple and several other people questioned how the blogger got a hold of such a phone. Chen said that he found the iPhone at a bar last Friday and claims he didn’t steal it. Although police are wondering why he didn’t come out and say anything about this, they’re in doubt about what he said.

When Chen came home with his wife one night, he was surprised to see that there were police officers on his property and had already started to confiscate some of his things. Chen found his front door bashed and when he asked the police about this, they told him they did it because he wasn’t home to answer the door. The police also showed him the search warrant and informed Chen that they took pictures of the gadgets before and after so as to know if anything will be tampered.

If Jason Chen will be convicted of felony for receiving stolen property or aiding a thief, he will be put to jail for up to a year. The duration of the term in prison will depend upon the severity of the crime, the value of the stolen item and if the accused has had prior records. It will all depend in the interests of justice.

Events like these are funny and amusing. The things people do to get ahead of the competition. Nowadays, people will just do about anything to get their hands on the latest hot gadgets. This news is like the one wherein a man’s finger was cut off because someone robbed him of an iPad. It’s a crazy thing. But who am I to say all these things because for some people, they live for the thrill of being the first to have the newest must-have technology.

See the new iPhone 4G leaked specifications and pictures. Does it sucks? Find out if this one is fake or not.

While the majority of apple enthusiast is just there dreaming how will the iPhone 4G – looks like, feels like, smell like, etc – claims from the pop-mogul website engadget has started to trickle down, creating a buzz on our world once again – This time Joshua toplotsky made a 2 part post, of what it appears to be the next real iPhone 4G — providing a proof on the latter part. The question is – Will these pictures purported below be the authenticated iPhone 4th Gen Model, millions of users will fondle their hands on this year?

Now that we’re just sitting here comfortably waiting, we provided some of the most probable features of the new iDevice – like an augmented storage capacity, camera, processor and will certainly utilize iPhone OS 4.0 for its platform. If you have some 5 minutes to burn, you can read it here.

Nonetheless, if ever these rumors are true then we can assume that the new iPhone will also have a front-facing camera, higher resolution (possibly can extend up to HD quality) and will use MicroSim like its big-brother, iPad.

So what do you think? Could this only be an illusion of the real iPhone 4G or not? Let us know with your comments.

Update 1: Ladies and gentlemen, it has now been confirmed! — (lub dub) That these leaked photos are the real official Fourth Gen Apple iPhones! Gizmodo manage to have their own unit as well in their hands and more interestingly, got a chance to dig the innards of this device and their discovery is somewhat amazing!

- Basing from the sideglances, it’s thinner than the 3GS. Internal components is somewhat smaller and has a larger battery. Not disclosed if it was a removable Li-On or not.

- Unlike the curve body /plastic shell of the 3GS, the iPhone 4G has a very flat-squared body enclosed by a ‘somewhat’ metallic chassis that has quite a resemblance with Apple’s MacBook Pro series today.

- Like we mentioned, it’ll have a higher resolution, will use Micro Sim and will run iPhone OS 4.0

- Gizmodo can’t give the exact numbers but the resolution can go as high as 960 x 480

- Will have a front and secondary rear camera (with flash)

- Like the Nexus One, it has a secondary mic for noise cancellation purposes.

Ah yes! Nothing beats the day than having a fresh leak of Apple device, huh? Unlike that cupertino-tablet, which was revealed only hours before the official release. I wonder, how will Apple react to this?

Update 2: Legality woes – While some of you are wondering how the heck we got an early leak impression for the iPhone 4G — Which is highly unlikely, for a company like Apple, who guards its iDevices, like its the last unicorn. Here’s how it sums-up.

The story, as it goes so far: guy finds what looks like an iPhone 3GS in a protective case sitting on the floor of a bar in San Jose. He pops the case off and, lo and behold, it’s not the iPhone 3GS at all, but a brand-stinkin’ new, unreleased iPhone. He sends some pictures to Engadget, and then sells the unit itself to Gizmodo for the aforementioned rumored price tag of $10k. Giz then spends a few days attempting to prove that it’s real before posting it. (via mobilecrunch)

I highlighted the 10, OOO USD there so you can see that this leak, is not a joke at all.

Apple has been conceptualizing the successor to its iPhone 3G - the iPhone 4G. Critiques however are skeptical if the 4th gen smartphone would be better. See more in this review.

Apple is being stoned by the vast majority lately and despite all that they still chose to move on and continue developing the successor of their iPhone 3G. It hasn’t been awhile since the 3G phone from Apple was released but with all the Smartphones coming out, Steve Jobs wouldn’t definitely want their company to be the last in line. There are a lot of things that you can expect from the allegedly new phone from Apple Macintosh.

They have updated a few specifications on their upcoming iPhone, something that would be more competitive in the market. But would the upgrades be worth the craze of non Apple patrons? Or will these critics just find the rumored iPhone 4G lame just like the not so smart iPad? I would leave the answer to those questions in your hands.

According to an analyst from Goldman Sachs group the mysterious new iPhone will of course have the usual specifications as the third generation iPhone and will a 5 megapixel camera compared to the three megapixel iPhone that was release a year ago. For your information the 4G tag on this new phone doesn’t stand for a 4G network instead it stands for fourth generation iPhone (but it would be neat if it would be capable of providing a 4G network).

This phone is still a work in progress and the picture we have here is a detailed percentage possibility that the specified feature will be injected to the new iPhone 4th generation. As you can see on the picture below there is a removable battery percentage of 60% but I really doubt that it will even push thru since Apple has stated before that they will stick to the non removable battery style on their iPhones.

The phone is gossiped to be out anytime this May as the earliest but Apple is aiming the months of June and July for the full release of their new device. So right now I believe everything will be calm until the iPhone storm hits globally! Shall I say get ready? Well, be sure to ready your pockets just in case you’re eyeing to have one of these ASAP.

Apple finally confirmed that January 27, 2010 will be the official day for them to demystify and answer all of our questions about their mythical devices: Apple Tablet and iPhone 4G. See the official statement.

The heat is on for the Apple’s collection of mythical devices – ready to be demystified on the 27th of this month.

If you’re an enthusiasts then this official statement is a must have for you, if you’re an average joe who just want to meld and know what apple has stored for you then don’t miss the said date either. Everyone is qualified, you don’t need to become a tech-fashionista just to fit in yourself, as long as you know the topic to sell and we’re all set! – So what’s the topic again? Well it just so happen that next week, Apple will finally reveal their most guarded secret gadget(s) of the month –You know? The one which was said to bring forth a yet another game-changer for our gizmos that we carry around — their mytholigical tablet which was called with ‘oh so many names’, the closest one is the title “iSlate”. Also, the ‘most awaited’ iPhone 4G will have a place on the crowd too, now getting a quality dose of rumor-juice.

So let’s start with the official statement.

Apple invites us, humans to see their latest creations on their very vibrant “Come see our latest creations” card taking place at Yerba Buena Center for the Arts Theater in San Francisco, on January 27, 2010 – starting 10:00am

What to see?

According to foxnews this event will surely dazzle us – I suppose seeing first hand what the rumored tablet can do is exhilirating already (hopefully, it can live up to the expectations of the uproaring crowd) Other than the tablet, iPhone 4G and iLife 2010 software will also be tackled. What’s that again? iLife? Hmm, now that’s new! Here’s the excerpt

I spoke to a source at Apple this morning, before the invite hit my inbox, who said the event would likely focus on three projects: The tablet device, iPhone 4, and a new round of iLife 2010 software. While we won’t see new iPhone hardware just yet, we will see the next-generation software.

So while you’re here waiting, we prepared some things that you may want to look at before you head on with Apple’s D day ceremony.

iPhone 4G: What to expect?

Good guys from nowherelse.fr made a quick breakdown of what are the plausible scenarios for the 4th generation model. It seems the availability of it on May-Jun 2010, OLED display, 5MP camera are the most probable cases, as we expected. Albeit, the rumors of it having a front-faced cam, beefed out dual-core procs and memory and removable battery are already lining up on a half-full, half-empty scenario. Okay, here’s the picture for you to scrutinize! (click to enlarge)

Is it me or just my hazy eyes, but what happened to the new 64 GIG storage capacity?

Anyway, I’m sure we will have a better picture on Apple’s D Day.

Apple Tablet: What to expect?

Added to the pre-rumor mills and the neo-rumor mills we’ve collected here’s another one from WSJ. And oh, these guys mean business!

HarperCollins Publishers is negotiating with Apple Inc. to make electronic books available for the introduction of a new tablet device from Apple, according to people familiar with the situation, posing a challenge to Amazon.com Inc.

HarperCollins is expected to set the prices of the e-books, which would have added features, with Apple taking a percentage of sales. Details haven’t been ironed out.

What does it mean?

It appears HarperCollins Publisher will try to distribute its e-book, primarily to Apple and let the users dictate the price for each e-book copy which is rumored to be sold on iTunes.

If this rumor will become true, this could spell a real threat to Amazon’s dominating streak on the ebook industry via their Kindle, which we all know will probably have a stiff rivalry with Skiff reader too.

Pretty interesting stuff huh? Well, if you have some more minutes to burn you can digest all the details on this WSJ report.

As usual, we will keep you guys updated on what’s the official score for these mythological gadgets. Stick around.

January 27 Updates: The moment of truth is just minutes away and we’ve got the whole summary here and some ‘boastful specs coming from our sources. Savor it! while waiting for the official statement today.
