Tech blog giant, TechCrunch had revealed few weeks ago about this rumor on a new Google-customized mobile phone to be released in 2010. Now, the geeks at Gizmodo claims that they have ‘trusted’ sources who allegedly seen the new Google phone with their own eyes. Here’s the excerpt of the Google phone Is a certainty report from the Giz blog.

And by “Google Phone” we don’t simply mean another Android handset. We’re talking about Google-branded hardware running a version of Android we haven’t yet seen.

Over the next few weeks, Google Phones will flood the Mountain View campus. They’ll don large LCDs while running a new version of Android—either Flan or the version of Android beyond it—which our source spotted running on Google’s handset as well as a laptop.

The OS will definitely not be Chrome, Giz boys assured us. The interesting thing about the Google phone rumor is that the phone to be released will look completely different from the Google Android phones we know. In fact, the new Google Phone claims to be the ‘authentic’ Android Phone. So what IS the Android phones we see today? a phony? a decoy? And assuming this is true, then the first series of  Android mobile phones will be called what? Or are the sources at Giz only want to spread another internet meme?

December 12, 2009 Updates: All the juicy tweets and details has been unveiled for the ‘beautified-steroidal release’ of Google Phone. Your best bet is, it will run on Android 2.1 and be a look-alike with HTC Passion, the only problem is.. Will it run on AT&T Carrier? Grrr, let’s just cross our fingers and hope its not the case.
