Nexus surely had a blast on its debut release yesterday. So here are the updates compiled for this day - A flash player, teardown, best marketing strat and oh, a Lawsuit already?

After the amazing debut of the superphone (as its developers call it) expect that there will be a lot of crazy news that will boom around nexus one, now that streams of users are starting to get their hands and play with the device. So here’s a compilated nexus induced developments that you may want to look. Damn-less if you do, damn if you don’t type of situation. If you already have your nexus one phone with you much better if no? — then just savor this post at least and take part with the google-fever!

Nexus One with Adobe Flash 10.1

When Google said on their intro, “Everything you love about the web, now on a phone” – They really take that line seriously. As the commotion of the users, “What kind of webphone is Nexus One if it won’t grant flash plugins in it?” If you have been using a un-jailbreak iPhone/iPod Touch for browsing then you know how internet browsing experience could suck without a flash plugin.

Clearly, Nexus developers notice this flaw from iPhone, turn it around and make it a sharp advantage for Nexus One. Here’s a video that says it all.

Bottom factor: Flash games, flash banners, flash video streaming website (yep those smutty sites are included also) – Will be all viewable with Nexus One. Isn’t this great or what?

Nexus One Teardown

Now, let’s head onto the next update- Nexus One on a teardown. Yep, it just happen so fast they didn’t even show mercy to the newly unveiled smartphone. Anyway, here’s some of the goodies they’ve found (if you can call that a goody)

According to engadget: “Of interest is a Broadcom chip labeled Broadcom BCM4329EKUBG. Why? Well, the BCM4329 (albeit, without the “EKUBG” qualifier) is capable of 802.11n (HTC only lists 802.11b/g) WiFi in addition to FM transmitter and receiver.” – Yep we didn’t know that for sure, but like what I mentioned above this is not the type of goody enthusiasts are waiting for to see.

Nexus One Marketing

Let’s now head onto the marketing strat of Google: If you’re thinking Google will do some extensive, multi million dollar marketing strat like just what moto did, said to spend $100 million just on marketing their Droid– Then you’re a bit off-sight here, you see google managed to find a simple way to do it. Voila! They put a small ad of Nexus One to their Google.com (parent search engine)

No need to analyze this one. Google.com being flocked by tens of millions of netizens, called as the holy grail of searches – Now has a Nexus One at just the bottom of the search box. Seriously? That’s all Google need to market their ‘SuperPhone’. Perhaps in the future, you can expect some tiny little ad units of Nexus One banner floating on 3rd party publisher. But nothing is more succesful than putting your prime ace on the parkplace of the world wide web – Google dot com.

Nexus One Lawsuit

Now here’s the bomb, what type of Google Update this would be, if there will be no lurking scandal / problems ahead of the Nexus One? Remember, the story on how the Nexus One name was formulated/derived? It was said that all came from the movie Blade-Runner (Movie derived from Philip Dick’s novel, “Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep”) wherein Nexus-6 was extracted.

Now.. Isa, daughter of Philip Dick sent a message to WSJ that the name is a “clear infringement of our intellectual-property rights” and that their lawyers are “dealing head-to-head” with the situation. It seems Mr. Dick was unhappy with his name not even mentioned during the debut of Nexus One.

We aren’t lawyers here to state some lawful opinions but, I think Google stated in their press-release that Nexus was coined from a term in the dictionary

“Dictionary definition of Nexus is that it’s a point of convergence. It’s where web meets phone. It’s an exemplar of what’s possible with mobile phones on Android. It belongs in an emerging category of devices that we call “super phones”.

If this lawsuit will pushthrough, for sure this will not be the last post that will tackle this “Nexus One Lawsuit”. And so the plot thickens with these two.

As usual we’ll keep you guys posted!
