According to that block of developer code, there’s a chance Xbox 360 gaming might be ported on Windows 8 as the program sets a parameter when it crashes. Likewise, this opens up another world of possibilities. For starters, would Win 8 have its own emulator inside letting players port games from console to PC? Or, will the upcoming Marketplace enable full length downloadable Xbox 360 games under Windows 8?

Naturally, everything is still vague but this is causing a major stir in the gamingsphere. According to some pundits, this service is very likely to undergone a subscription-based model similar to Games for Windows Live last year. Then again, other reports suggest this service will be separated on Xbox Live since there’s an “incompatibility problems” on its controller.

Come to think of it, the idea is very interesting but it still has a lot of loop-holes needed to be patched. One is, a lot of hardcore games today always come in multiplatform (PC, Xbox 360, PS3). So this means, most of the games going to be available on this ghost-service may be some indie type of games like Minecraft. However, this may also bolster a new ecosystem that lets gamers download Xbox 360 games to PC – question is, will there be a real need?

In our previous report, we revealed that Microsoft is planning to create a unison for its three major platforms – Xbox 360, Windows and Windows Phone 7 — under one roof. I guess this is just the beginning!

Meanwhile, there’s also a report swirling around that Microsoft is planning to launch an Xbox Music service this autumn. More or less, will function like the disbanded Zune. Get it here.

Update: The whole Xbox music service update is not true and it won’t roll out this fall as previously reported.
