Hoo boy! It appears the release of Sammy’s Herculean phone is about to land soon as another leak points out shooting an image of what appears to be the Hercules handset running a benchmark score using Telus as its network carrier.
Actually, hearing Samsung Galaxy Hercules hitting Canada via Telus isn’t really a surprise anymore as we heard this leak last month, but the real eye-candy for this finding is its benchmark score against Nexus One and Droid X using Froyo, revealing the device is running three times as fast – something that’s comparable with the Galaxy S II device or even higher! However, we all know that benchmark testing serves only as a gauge and doesn’t really represent the power of a unit in real life application but still, this discovery still serves as a welcoming surprise for enthusiasts.

To give you a recap, this mythological phone will have a form-factor that’s similar with Nexus S under a 4-5-inch Super AMOLED Plus display, 1.2GHz dual-core Snapdragon CPU, 2MP front-facing camera (with 8MP rear-camera possibility) and of course, its godly speed of up to 42Mbps HSPA+ under Telus network. Likewise, we expect this phone to arrive next quarter on Canada and its US release handled by T-Mobile. Still, we’re keeping eyes on its equally powerful brethren – the Nexus Prime 4G.
