Valve has recently revealed the first add-on made for Left 4 Dead 2, called The Passing. This new DLC (Downloadable Content) campaign features Left 4 Dead 2 characters (Coach, Ellis, Nick and Rochelle) meeting up with original Left 4 Dead survivors (Bill, Francis, Louis and Zoey) after the dead center campaign. This new add-on will be very exciting on the players’ part who missed the previous members of the ‘gang’.

According to Valve, The Passing is set in a small town in rural Georgia, keeping players in the role of L4D2 characters as they meet up with original L4D1 characters. The new campaign features new zombie types, new weapons, “new co-operative challenge mode of play” and will include new arenas for Survival, Versus and Scavenge mode.
According to Valve’s VP for Marketing, Doug Lombardi:
The Passing will become the most important campaign in the Left 4 Dead story, as all the Survivors are being called together in one campaign. It will also be a huge offering of new gameplay content, with something new for every game mode plus a new uncommon common and weaponry.
The Passing DLC will be made available early next year on Xbox 360 and PC platforms. The price tag is yet to be announced.
