The success of CD Projekt on unleashing The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings is certainly remarkable, bagging that title as the most sold PC Game last quarter along with the millions of fans satisfied with its gameplay and new changes.
As expected, CDP will announce its Xbox 360 version since the game received a lot of favorable remarks from the crowd as well with different gaming review sites. And all hell breaks loose after that!

You see, this move by the developing team was not favored by its PC publishing partner — Namco Bandai — since CDP decides to pick THQ for the publisher of Witcher 2 on 360 which resulted to a bitter lawsuit charge filed against CD Projekt. We haven’t heard any updates from that ever since but it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out this will yield a negative effect on TW2’s release on Xbox 360 this year.
As of today, it’s now confirmed the game will be delayed until the first quarter of 2012. The reason? Obviously, its legal battle against Namco Bandai would be the first and polishing the game even more so Xbox 360 fans won’t be disappointed.
For its PS3 version, last time we check, CDP said it’s something they will “love to do” but it will depend on the responses they’ll receive on its Xbox 360 release. Hopefully, the former will push through!
