Toshiba Thrive which has been rebranded as AT100, a tablet which is less-than-slender, is arriving in UK Sept. 1 to the surprise of Toshiba’s fans.

The slab runs with Android 3.1 Honeycomb and has a 1Ghz processor featuring Nvidia Tegra. The tablet has external features such as SD slot, USB and full-size HDMI. The multimedia tablet and the Android deliver top of the line browsing experience thru reading ebooks, emails, online newspapers, watching HD videos as well as social networking. Toshiba is Japanese conglomerate that manufactures TV’s, laptops and consumer products worldwide. The HD display is 10.1 inches in size and video plays are complemented by Toshiba Resolution+ and Adobe Flash support with a sound technology that is innovative and appealing.
The long-lasting battery ensures multimedia use for 7 hours after every recharge. It weights only 765g and sports a stylish design for an on the go browsing and multimedia experiences. 250,000 applications are up for grabs at the Android Market and Toshiba Places using AT100’s WiFi functionalities. Connectivity is made possible thru an integrated HDMI and USB ports. Accessories for the tablet which are available from October include an AT100 cover, AC adapters, replaceable battery packs and AT100 Multi-Dock. The AT100 cover provides the protection needed to power up the tablet.
