If you’re bored with the conventional design of laptops lug by people around then you might want to take a look at the new Toshiba Dynabook Qosmio T750. It has a uniquely designed lid that actually changes in color. Interesting isn’t it?

According to Toshiba, this is the first of its kind. The color of the Dynabook is called “shiny ocean” but actually has different shades in it which shimmers from turquoise, deep blue and purple depending on the angle you look at it. And if you’re thinking that the covering was derived from a series of metal sheets well, sorry to disappoint you. Toshiba is way smarter than that.
The company claims that the different depths of color was produced by stacking layers of polyester laminate films. In effect, these materials give that metallic look without using any metal components. The technique is called ‘Picasus’ and was developed by both Toshiba and Toure Meihan. Moreover, nasty finger smudges won’t affect the glossy outer shell of the Dynabook thanks to the added finger-proof coating.
As far as its tech sheet is concerned, the Toshiba Dynabook Qosmio T750 packs a good ensemble of components such as a 2.66GHz Core i5-480m processor, 4GB DDR3 RAM, 750GB HDD, 15.6 inch 1366 x 768 LED-backlit monitor, Harman Kardon speakers, WLAN, Ethernet, HDMI and USB 2.0 ports.
Based on our sources, the chameleon-like lappie will only be available in Japan for a yet to be announced price tag. But don’t get disappointed, it would probably be available in North America. So, stay tuned for more details.
