Toshiba goes futuristic with their E205 Series
So what with the name? I don’t know exactly why Toshiba named their line of notebook differently, unlike the other companies that preferred that their gadgets be branded with a name that is catchy and easy to remember Toshiba chose to be different. It has always been Toshiba’s way of giving their series of gadgets with an alphanumeric name (a letter and 3 numbers). I believe it has an explanation but right now I don’t have any clue of reason.
Let’s focus on one specific E205 gadget shall we? Introducing S1904 from the E205 Series, this device has a futuristic glow as it flaunts a shiny finish of metallic grayish black and silverish blue that once you held it in your hands you would feel like you’re part of the Star Wars crew!
This gadget will not be your usual glossy finish, its way above the first gen of gloss finished laptops. The brightness of this one is not something that you can say ‘trying to catch everyone’s attention’. The way it’s been coated is like you’re seeing a jaguar passing by, (get the drift?)
This baby will surely impress anyone and it doesn’t need to show off or do any special stunts to be noticed. Though the outside is born/made to make your heads turn, will the inside of S1904 be as head turning as the outside? Let’s get a closer look of what this device is made of!
E205-S1904 from Toshiba Japan has been infused with the finest and the latest hardware that’s in the market today! This gadget will deliver an i5-430M processor from Intel and Windows 7 Premium for Operating system. The memory will be enough for those who needs a lot of storage since the internal memory is at 4GB (DDR3 1066Mhz) backed with 500GB HD which will be great for VOIP.
This device is great for those who do freelancing jobs and needs to call (VOIP) customers; you can bring your job with you anywhere with this buddy. The weight is not at par with the lighter ones in the market unfortunately, S1904 weighs 5.1 pounds (that’s more than 2 kilos). The screen is at 14 inch ‘widescreen type’ which also supports 720p.
Over all I would say this gizmo is quite neat and impressive, I hope Toshiba will make a slimmer and lighter version of this to make it perfect! The price tag will surely make you $849-$1000 poorer!
P.S: this one doesn’t have Bluetooth and i5 is an upgraded/improved Core 2 Duo
