As promised to arrive in the fourth quarter of this year, Toshiba has already begun distributing its first and very own Android Froyo tablet – the Toshiba Folio 100.
The tablet is powered by NVIDIA Tegra 2 with a 10.1 inch capacitive display at 1024×600 pixels. It runs on Froyo 2.2 with an internal storage of 16 GB packed with an SD/MMC card reader. It is capable of up to 7 hours of battery life and has a built-in webcam of 1.3 Megapixel.
The Toshiba tablet also supports Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR as well as WiFi 802.11 b/g/n. It also has a 3G sim card slot, a mini HDMI, and a USB 2.0.
The Folio 100 also allows its users to choose from a wide selection of apps through the Toshiba Market Place. Not only that, users will also enjoy downloading and sharing music with it’s easy to use client which offers a variety of purchased tracks. It also has Fring, Document to Go, and Evernote.
Meanwhile, shipments have already been made all across Europe. However, there is still no news as to when the tablet will arrive in the U.S. or whether it would be sold in other countries as well.
Updates from Toshiba also states that Germany will get to buy the 3G-less Folio 100 for €429 while the 3G-equipped tablet for €529. Italy will get to buy cheaper rates at €399 to €499 while U.K. will enjoy the lowest rate of €329.
