Toshiba mini NB305 with Atom N450 is the new Netbook by Toshiba | Specs Review

Posted on 06 January 2010 by pinoytutorial

After recently releasing NB205 series Toshiba is on track again and now they have a new gizmo to show off! Gadget critics were able to have a meet and greet with Toshiba mini NB305 and was able to explore the wonders and not wonderful feature it has.

Sporting a 10.1 inch screen TrueBrite LED display, this baby is also powered by Intel Atom N450 as usual! What else would be liable for NB305’s batter life of 11 hours but a chipset and a platform that doesn’t need too much power. The new netbook flaunts a full-sized touchpad and keyboard for that ultimate comfort and feel.

But has this netbook really exceeded customers’ expectation? According to Toshiba’s VP Carl Pinto the reason why their gadgets survived despite the stiff competition is that they have repaired whatever is lacking from the early generation of netbooks. I guess that only apply to their own netbooks. Honestly if he was talking about the netbooks out in the market now, NB305 is way out of league. Why let me provide you with the specifications of this baby and you can tell me whether I am right or wrong.

This gizmo was built with a 250 GB hard drive, a Windows 7 Starter for the OS and a built-in webcam w/speakers and mic. It also has Wi-Fi at 802.11b/g/n and 10/100 Ethernet plus a sweet treat of 1 year International warranty with customer support from their technical guys! Though the warranty states it’s Limited, Toshiba didn’t specify what that means. One thing I am sure of they will be more than happy to clear things out once it’s officially out in the market on January 12 2010.

Toshiba NB305 will be invading the nearest gadget store/retailers near you, plus it will also be showing off on Toshiba’s official website and other retail gadget websites. It will come to you with a price tag of $349.99 up to $399 and will be available in 2 configurations with 4 colors to choose from; Black Onyx, Frost White, Royal Blue and java Brown. This netbook was able to pass Energy Star’s standard and RoHS, so maybe it’s not so bad after all.
