It appears Toshiba isn’t giving up yet on releasing compact netbooks towards its customers eventhough we all know that iPad has shaken the foundations of the netbook market since its debut last February. Back at the CES last January, we managed to give a lengthy news about the Toshiba mini NB305 which was heaven at first sight if you’ll look back at that month and see the bunch of crappy netbooks dangling around. As for today, the consumer-electronics company is unveiling the Toshiba NB500 and NB520 packing all the efficient specifications of how a ‘good’ netbook should be plus it has some added sound-boost which will totally rock your world.

As the company claims, these two netbooks has the superior sound quality and I can say to you right now that Tosh could be right seeing the dynamic duo packing with Harman Kardon stereo speakers – providing 2 watts of power on each netbook and utilizing one the smallest H/K tweeters to give the users a more surreal sound. Aside from that ‘for your entertainment’ features, these two will be enclosed on a 10.1 inch form-factor with LED-backlit display (1024×600) whereas the company claims that it can support 720p HD playback. As for its processor, it will be utilizing an Intel Atom N550 type of chipset, RAM set to 2GB of DDR3 overclocking capability, 250GB for its storage and the battery for these two should last up to 10 hours, which is pretty generous if you’ll ask me.
If you are interested, you can have these netbooks on its release date on Q1 of 2011 throughout Europe, Middle East and Africa with no signs of an impending release on USA or Asian countries? Ouch! Expect the price to be on the 400-500 USD zone.
