You think just because tablets have been introduced to the market this year already means netbooks are in extinction? Think again! You may have a change of heart after you see this new netbook from Toshiba supporting some interesting specifications that will make you wonder, “Could my tablet do that?”.

At a glance, this Toshiba NB550D AMD-powered netbook looks solid on its jetblack color with a dash of lime green hue on its keypad area. Its display will be under a 10.1 inch WXGA LED screen w/ TrueBrite technology, its core is powered by 1GHz AMD C50 dual core processor; AMD Radeon HD 6250M for its graphics card (the first in its class), RAM set to 1GB DDR3, 250GB HDD for its storage capacity. Other goodies include, 3 x USB 2.0 ports, HDMI slot for a quick sync for your external media devices, WiFi/Bluetooth support, integrated VGA webcam and it comes with a pre-installed Windows 7 starter edition.
It will also cater some in the house for your entertainment feature like Harman Kardon speakers to give you that nice bass boost at the comforts of your netbook and a generous 9.5 hours battery life considering it’s using a monstrous six series Radeon HD GPU. If you are interested, its price and release date would be revealed on CES next week just like its other brothers.
