I was still checking my followers in twitter then suddenly they started to react weird. Majority of the user I follow today doesn’t follow me back (twitter bots usually do follow you back). Even my twitter API’s are acting kind of strange too.
It’s then I checked twitter and ALAS! it’s down again.. Pheuu! This is getting way too irritating for twitter users like us and to the rest of the community.
Twitter is known to be receiving DOS attacks especially last thursday. Please read the details here.

“analyzing the traffic data to determine the nature of this attack”, which caused an outage that appeared to last for less than half an hour.
And Co-founder BizStone told this monday that
The service was continuing to come under attack. He said Twitter, however, had “got better at dealing with them such that Twitter remains active.” “Our systems are looking good and the platform is healthy,”
I don’t know what this GUY means when he said “looking GOOD” and “Healthy” ? but it seems quite the opposite don’t you think?
I am not a twitter-enthusiast yet, but I am starting to see the power of twitter when it comes to promoting a blog and driving traffic to your site. It doesn’t matter if it’s down for 5 minutes or 5 hours. It’s still DOWN and millions of people are affected.
In my opinion, I am still not convince that the DOS attacks are all because of a blogger and a political motive. Please read Twitter attack: One man show?.
I understand that we need to support twitter especially in times like this, but how can we? If the details of why it’s receiving continuous DOS attack are disclosed to the public. Remember that the open-source community are always ready to lend a hand.
