Posted on 07 May 2011 by pinoytutorial

It is one thing to say video games are explosive, since many titles feature heavy artillery or just plain good old bombings. Then it is an entirely different thing when a gaming boss says that their new installment “will blow people away.” This telling tweet was released by Danny Bilson, core games boss of THQ,Inc.

Gaming blogs report that THQ has under wraps a new addition to the UFC game series, emphasizing away from the spin off , UFC personal trainer. These press releases were among the first heard about the new UFC game after its publisher confirmed a 2012 release of UFC 3 in as early as October 2010. Since the UFC Undisputed 2010 was not able to meet sales expectations, THQ moved their annual release schedule to allow longer development time for the new title. James Orry of videogamer quips that given these adjustments, there will likely be an 18-month development for the UFC3.

This sets a higher bar for the new UFC game, after Bilson already declared about its killer demo and how it is set to blow away at E3 2011. Jamie Pert of Product Review predicts that the playable demo in the upcoming Electronic Entertainment Expo will have an earlier release at the Xbox live and PlayStation Network.

No word yet on the exact release date but it is estimated to hit stores around the first quarter of this year.
